Denise is the proud mother of five sons, all born and raised in Washington, D.C. She has faced life’s hardest battles—married three times, widowed twice—and is a loving grandmother to 17.
Her journey is one of deep loss, undeniable resilience, and spiritual surrender. Denise walks in God’s lane, releasing her will to follow His. She speaks from a place of truth, pain, and power, reminding others that no matter the trials, faith and strength can carry you through.
Ivan N. Sims, AGMG Change Agent
A lifelong resident of the DMV area, Ivan is a proud father of two — his beautiful daughter and handsome son — who remain his greatest inspiration. Grounded in faith and service, Ivan is a devoted community activist dedicated to uplifting and enriching the neighborhoods he calls home. He lives by the belief that “my community tomorrow will only be as good as the seed I plant today.”
With a heart for people and a hands-on approach to service, Ivan continuously invests in the growth and well-being of his community. He volunteers to feed the homeless and supports programs that bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those in need. Ivan actively serves with the Hope and Dignity Project, Inc. and 1441 Inc., two respected organizations committed to empowering the underserved and creating pathways for change.
Known for his warm personality and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, Ivan leads with compassion, humility, and faith. Whether mentoring youth, organizing outreach events, or partnering with the Andre Gore Motivational Group, he remains committed to transforming lives — helping individuals who feel stuck to rediscover their strength, rebuild their confidence, and reclaim their purpose.

Michael is a dedicated member of the Andre Gore Motivational Group, driven by a deep passion for helping others embrace life-changing self-sufficiency.
With a strong commitment to transformation and growth, Michael has been actively involved in motivational sessions with incarcerated men and women, offering hope and guidance through lived experience and practical tools. He also works closely with organizations to support staff development, believing that empowered individuals create stronger, more resilient communities.

Wesley Nichols, AGMG Change Agent
Wesley was born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia. He and Andre Gore first connected during their time at Coffeewood Correctional Facility in Virginia. Behind those walls, they spoke about a greater purpose, how their life experiences, pain, and faith could be used to help others struggling with personal battles and spiritual disconnection. They knew God had placed something powerful within them, and they made a commitment to serve others once they were free.
After their release, their bond only grew stronger. They traveled to visit one another — Wesley to Washington, D.C., and Andre to Petersburg — as they continued to build on the vision they had once spoken of. Wesley went on to become an ordained pastor and is deeply active in his local community. His life is a testament to transformation, purpose, and unwavering faith.
Wesley’s message is bold, real, and deeply rooted in the Word. He speaks with a conviction that reaches into the hearts of those who hear him. Having defeated recidivism over 20 years ago, he stands as living proof that true change is possible. Today, he is a proud and impactful member of the Andre Gore Motivational Group’s speaking team.
